Santi Koonkarnkhai (สันติ กูลการขาย) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University (NPRU), Thailand. He received his B.Eng. degree in Electronics Engineering Technology in 2006, M.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2009, and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2014, all from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), Thailand.
He joined Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University in 2011 and has been actively involved in teaching, research, academic administration, and curriculum development at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to his academic responsibilities, he previously served as the Director of a Research and Development Institute at NPRU, where he was responsible for overseeing and managing research activities, research projects, academic collaborations, and research support both within and outside the university. His academic and research interests include communication systems, digital signal processing, magnetic recording and data storage systems, detection and decoding techniques, error-correction codes (ECC), and artificial intelligence and machine learning for signal processing.
His research focuses particularly on the development and application of advanced signal processing, detection, decoding, and machine learning techniques for high-density magnetic data storage systems. He has also been involved in research and academic activities related to artificial intelligence, data analysis, and the application of AI technologies in education and industry.
